Who pays for long term care? The government recently announced that they would pay for the costs of long term nursing care. Good news ? Nursing care costs will be paid for. Unfortunately the residential element will not paid for by the government, and this forms the largest part of the cost of care. This means that most of the £18,000 (average annual cost of long term nursing care will have to be paid by you. Your Choice
